100% Pure Essential Oils direct from the Distiller

Artisan Essential Oils™ are very select Essential Oils obtained directly from distiller/growers who produce essential oils specifically for the aromatherapy industry. Each of our Artisan Essential Oils™ is personally selected by Dr. Joie Power, director of The Aromatherapy School. Our oils are not mass produced, but are made one drop at a time by folks who care about what they're doing and strive to offer the very best in Essential Oils. These exquisite oils offer excellent value considering the individual attention given to producing each one and their rare and unique nature. When you inhale the aroma of any of our exceptional Artisan Essential Oils™, you will immediately recognize it as being one of the finest oils anywhere. We select wild and organic oils whenever possible and but never any solvent extracted (absolutes). Rather, for the delicate flowers like Gardenia and Tuberose, we have found a producer who uses the ancient method of Enfleurage to extract these exquisite oils.

Definition of Artisan Essential Oils™

Artisan Essential Oils™ are Essential Oils that are produced in an eco-ethical manner by small grower/harvesters who do their own production to the highest of standards specifically for the aromatherapy and healing arts communities. Artisan Aromatic's collection of Artisan Essential Oils™ represents the highest professional standards of excellence for Essential Oils and we believe that our decision to deal only in Artisan Essential Oils™ is not only good for us, our customers and our students but is a necessary step towards an economy based on support of cultural and biological diversity.

Limited Selection

Our quest for small distillers who produce these exquisite essential oils is a "work in progress" and much time is needed to locate and dialog with the growers/distillers and then to sample and test the oils before offering them to our customers. So far, our limited selection includes only a dozen or so essential oils but we are adding 1 or two per month and expect to have a selection of over 20 by the end of 2010. 2011 should see the addition of over 10 more. In addition to our web pages describing each oil, we plan to have pages that will highlight each of the grower/distillers.
