Unique Aromatherapy Reed Diffusers NO Synthetics NO "Fragrance Oil" NO Chemicals YES - Natural and Organic Completely natural with organic base oil and organic essential oils Pour approximately 2 oz. of our organic base oil into the glass container. Then add (1-15ml) of Essential Oils to the base oil. Mix with one of the reeds. Insert all the reeds into the bottle and arrange. After 1-2 hours, flip the reeds over and rearrage. The gentle aroma will last for a few days to a week or more depending on quantity and the specific essential oil you have chosen. Use a few drops of Lavender essential oil to relax, Orange or Lemon essential oil for a bright/clean smell, Pine or Spruce essential oil for that aroma of the forest, or Peppermint essential oil to help keep you alert or one of our fine Enfleurage florals like our Artisan Aromatics Gardenia Essential Oil, Lily Essential Oil, Rose Essential Oil or Tuberose Essential Oil. Some essential oils are more aromatic than others so for some use 1-5 ml. For less aromatic essential oils, you may have to use from 5-15ml. Experiment a bit and find the right balance for you. After initial "flip", the reeds can be left in place until all of the aroma has disapated or, to increase aroma, flip the reeds more often. For large areas or when you might want much stronger aroma, you can use ration of from 1 part EO to 3 parts base up to 1 part EO to 1 part base oil. More Info: Once all aroma is gone (a few days to a week or so) and IF you are going to use the same essential oil, you can simply remove the reeds and add 25-50 drops (or more) of essential oil to the base oil and then insert and rearrange the reeds. But, if you are going to change aromas by changing essential oils, you MAY want to also change the base oil. Almost always a little aroma from the initial essential oils used "sticks" with the base oil. Sometimes this can be a good thing if, for example, you began with sweet orange essential oil and want to switch to lavender essential oil since the aroma of sweet orange with a hint of lavender is quite pleasing but, that might not be the case if you are switching to something like peppermint essential oil or pine essential oil.

NOTE: The aroma of natural oils is NOT as strong as synthetics BUT essential oils are HELPFUL, not HARMFUL.
